One of the largest metropolitan cities in the world, choosing what to see on your first visit may seem a little overwhelming.

We choose to explore the city’s centre and all of the attractions were within walking distance.

Day 1

  • Hemiciclo a Benito Juarez and Alameda Park
  • The Palacio de Bellas Artes – Mexican Art Gallery
  • Pan de Azucar San Juan – Food Market
  • Chinatown – only 2 blocks. One of the smallest in the world
  • Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral
  • Presidencia De La República
  • Ave Francisco l. Madero – pedestrian-only shopping district
  • Mirador Torre Latino – lookout tower with a bar and restaurant
  • Plaza Garibaldi
  • Mexico Arena – Lucho Libre Mexican Wrestling



Day 2

  • National University and Olympic Stadium Mural Tour – See work by Diego Rivera
  • Xochimilco, a marine ecological reserve and UNESCO World Heritage site
  • The Angel of Independence Monument
  • Monument to the Revolution
