Not the best hotel we have stayed in, but the location was perfect.

ROOM:

The hotel was under renovation at the time of our stay and guessing by the rooms it most certainly needed it.  It smelt of cigarette smoke throughout the hotel. The staff were not that helpful, but we didn’t spend too much time here anyways so we made do.  So, what was good? The room was large, but rather dirty and definitely in need of updating. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was ok, there was a fair selection of TV channels to choose from.

Lobby was incredibly large with an atrium running full height of the building, which hopefully with the renovations they can show off updated décor, rather than distasteful décor.

STAFF:

coming soon

FOOD and DRINK:

The hotel restaurant was not very appealing, but having got in late and unsure where to go, we opted to eat here. There was not a soul in sight, the food was ok, but we didn’t rush to eat here again.

It is situated about 10min walk to the old town, with plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from.

If we were to go to Mexico City again we would probably stay in the same area, but choose a different hotel.

1 block from Medano beach, we couldn’t have asked for a better location!

Bahia Beach Club Hotel is a very stylish boutique hotel close to all the restaurants that line the beachfront. Walking in and the bar/restaurant area was absolutely packed which to us was a good sign of things to come.  On the way to our room they had hammocks lined up in the walkway, a perfect place to chill and catch a nice cool breeze.  Pendant lights also adorned the walkways and threw out light and shadows in may differing patterns.

ROOM:

We were on the ground floor and the rooms were well furnished with views looking out at the pool, there is a small kitchenette area with a microwave, bar fridge. The room had hand trowelled concrete floors and counter tops, plus built-in plastered bench seating and shelves that added to the boutique Mexican charm.  The bed was quite high, but comfy nonetheless.  The bathroom was concrete with a natural rain shower and the toiletries provided were lovely.

STAFF:

Unfortunately, there are mixed reviews online regarding the friendliness of the staff. We are happy to say we found them very accommodating and friendly.

FOOD and DRINK:

We had one morning which was dedicated to the pool, we took advantage of the swim up bar, the great pizzas, the Guacamole and tortilla chips and let’s not forget the cocktails! Being on the ground floor we could walk straight into our room from the pool, this was an added luxury.

This hotel was a lucky find and very glad we had the opportunity to stay here, as the staff, the food, the atmosphere…..everything was exceptional.

A great choice for an all-inclusive hotel that is affordable.

Walking in and you can really see the scale of the hotel and how busy it is going to be. We waited a little bit at check-in but I think we were kind of expecting that.  This was the biggest resort hotel we have stayed in.

ROOM:

Our rooms were pretty basic but more than accommodating for what we were wanting and expecting. They were clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom large, actually the overall room was large. We were happy with this, we had a nice view of the pool and the crystal clear water and white sandy beach.

STAFF:

The staff were very friendly and very fluent in English.

FOOD and DRINK:

Buffett breakfast had everything you could want and they even made egg white omelettes which we thought was very accommodating to our wants and desires.  Lunch and dinner was just as extensive and indulgent.

All day refreshments are available and with 3 munchie stands, you will be surely not be left hungry.

We had dinner at El Mirador and were not sure what to expect, but surprisingly it was actually quite good. With drinking all day, we definitely needed carbs and that is exactly what we had.  If you want to dine here, you will need to ensure you make a reservation.

We would probably stay here again.
